			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I woke up tired. Of course on this day my Boys choose to try my patience. Actually, they have been doing it since last night, which is kind of off for them. They don&#8217;t usually test me all at the same time so much.  I don&#8217;t know why I always feel terrible after. It really isn&#8217;t that big of a deal right? Explaining right from wrong, explaining what they need to be doing and not doing, explaining the consequences of lying if that is what they are thinking of doing&#8230; on and on.  Well, today it wore me out. Now and hour and a half since they have been gone I feel like shit and I feel like crying. I think of the look on my oldest face and it is that I AM the bully here.  Ug. I explained that I am not the Bully.  Then I tell him that I am the good guy, I actually tell all 4 of them, I am the good guy, I am the one that loves you the most in this world and it makes me feel horrible when they look at  me that way.  I am their Mother and they are supposed to know that, right?  Well, I hope so, but this morning I don&#8217;t feel that way.  I am a mess and trying not to let these tears come billowing out there are sitting of the very edge of my eyelids.</p>
<p>I canceled my lunch and have decided on a little shoe therapy, a workout and maybe a nap. I am heading out-of-town tonight and I want my mood to change. I started to pick up the things from a little party that was moved to my house last night and came across this wonderful little card&#8230; <a href="http://katbite.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/dsc03250.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1628" title="DSC03250" src="http://katbite.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/dsc03250.jpg?w=300&#038;h=300" alt="" width="300" height="300" /></a>I just adore it and though, oh what a great little saying&#8230; &#8220;Keep Calm and Have a Cupcake&#8221;. Then I got to thinking&#8230; well, do I really want a cupcake? It sure would be yummy and tasty, then I thought&#8230; you know what I haven&#8217;t had in a while. On a day especially like today when I am feeling down. Not something I have done actually in a couple of years, but it did seem to help oh so many years ago when I first felt this way.  What the heck!  Just a big of vodka&#8230; <a href="http://katbite.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/dsc03252.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1629" title="DSC03252" src="http://katbite.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/dsc03252.jpg?w=300&#038;h=225" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a>&#8230; Oh yes I did.  Deep breathe&#8230; now I am on my way. <p>Today I thought I would check out what all the talk is about this Couch to 5k.  I went on over to <a href="http://runningintoshape.com/">Running Into Shape With Carli Couch to 5 K podcast</a>.  Downloaded it to my desktop then copied it over to my iTunes like it suggested.  Put on my workout clothes and walking shoes.  Told my Boys that I would have my headphones on and headed for the treadmill.</p>
<p>I was rather surprised to find that the Week 1 wasn&#8217;t as hard as I expected it to be.  You are supposed to take a day in between as a break, but I will be doing it again tomorrow.  If I am up to it, I may even do it twice.</p>
<p>I woke up with my whole body aching today.  Thank goodness I was able to fit in a massage for an hour.  I think that my body is trying to get sick and is fighting like hell.  I tripled up on the Vitamin C. I also still did this workout, which I was happy that I did.  I was dragging tired and ache all day, but it was worth it, absolutely.</p>
<p>I got my Bodybugg back up and running this past week as well. It seems I average between 2,000 and 2,500 steps per day when I am just hanging around the house. Today I logged 6,853 burning 2,267 calories as of this moment. Not too shabby. Going to get on it again tomorrow and see if I can beat it. I&#8217;ve downed 112oz of water almost too. All good stuff!  :)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I spent some time with a great friend today.  She informed me just yesterday that she has been writing for the past year.  I was so amazed to hear about it and so proud of her.  I can&#8217;t wait to sit down tonight and read some of what she has been doing.</p>
<p>During lunch we talked about how she has encouraged me to write in the past.  Not just this piddly (is piddly even a word?) crap that I blog about, but write a book, and or short stories.  I told her again today that I have never been a story writer, but more of a story-teller.  She said EXACTLY!  I also told her the problem that I have always have is that I remember bits and pieces of these fun times, but not in their entirety.  I was telling her that I need to start the story, come with the idea and she can help with the finishing and help fill it in.  I could do it with her.  We laughed with hard thoughtful eyes and kept talking about different ideas.  She said that everyone should write and I agree.  One of these days I will try something a little different.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, I don&#8217;t seem to be great at keeping up with things.  I know that I have mentioned this many times in this blog&#8230; with weight loss&#8230; exercise&#8230; personal goals.  Maybe that is why my memory is the way it is.  I just don&#8217;t seem to think that most things are exciting enough, or worth my time, or memory.  Maybe I just partied too much as a teenager, and in my 20 and have too many dead brain cells.  What ever the reason, I will never know.  I just need to keep this brain strong and working one way, or another.  Sitting down and writing from time to time in enjoyable and helps.  Even a stress reliever at times.</p>
<p>As for now I just need to relearn to type with new long damn fingernails.  LOL!  :)</p>

<p>First off I have missed blogging on the past 2 True Confessions. Go figure my days getting away from me and the next thing I know it is Wednesday, or Thursday. Who the hell knows what I am doing, but it is obviously something and not blogging like I should be.</p>
<p>Second, I was a bad, bad girl this week. I haven&#8217;t been drinking alcohol very much and this week I had a craving for Guinness BAD. This past Wednesday I had 1.  Friday I had 4.  Saturday I went to a birthday dinner and party and didn&#8217;t drink beer, but did have plenty of other things.  Sunday I drank 2 Snake Bites. Half Guinness and half Cider.  Last night I had one too.  Today I will have nothing, but water and the same for the rest of the week.  Well, at least I will try as of this moment.  Can you imagine what those calories did to me? I counted most of them, logged them, then by the time Saturday came around I didn&#8217;t log for the birthday party. Ug. Yep.  I was up 1.4 at my weigh-in on Sunday. Such an idiot!  My scale and the WW scale are never the same.  This morning my scale said 176.  BAD!!!  I am working hard to get back down by this next Sunday.  I want the 1.4 gone, plus a little more.  It is such a pity how fast it comes back on and how slowly it is to get it off.  Just sucks really!  I wasn&#8217;t even really that bad with my eating except for Sunday. Oh well. I own it.  Time to move on!</p>

<p>On a good note I have two of my Boys that started Tutoring this past week and it is going fantastic.  They come home with happy faces. Their self-esteem and reading/writing are moving forward. The Wilkins Learning Center in Gilbert has the most amazing people ever!</p>
<p>I finally hired a new housekeeper and she starts tomorrow. With a crew of 5 others!  How fantastic is that!  I haven&#8217;t had anyone helping me with the house for over a year. I know this may sound petty, but for me it is a life saver.  I have gone though a pretty hard year and a half personally and just the little things like this make me feel so much better.  I am a bit ashamed about the way my house looks now, others would disagree, but this is a step in the right direction for myself. A clean house makes for a happy Kathleen.</p>
<p>I started yesterday off by going on the treadmill not once, but twice, throughout my day.  I was in a weird bored mood and it really helped.  I can&#8217;t wait to get back on it today!</p>
<p>Today I am starting the 100 Push-ups program.  I have tried it before, but never finished. I have a good friend that started a few days ago, so I am going to try to catch up to her. I find that having someone to do something with really, really helps. Wish me luck!  Push-up can be damn hard.  LOL!</p>
<p>Today I am cooking Miso Soup for my Boys.  They love it when I make it for them. Pretty healthy and low points too. I am also going to make a vegetable soup today for the crock pot to have for whenever we want a snack. My oldest especially loves soup.  Soup and salad, how can you go wrong!</p>
<p>I closed down my Mom&#8217;s Making Time for Mom&#8217;s <a class="zem_slink" title="Meetup" href="http://www.meetup.com" rel="homepage">MeetUp</a> group this past Sunday. It was time.  I have had it going since, well, I can&#8217;t remember&#8230; either February 2008, or 2009.  I just feel like it was the right time and the right thing to do.  I am going to look into maybe joining some other groups on my own and take it from there.  Life is an adventure right?!</p>
<p>I am going to be doing the Color Run here in <a class="zem_slink" title="Tempe, Arizona" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=33.4294444444,-111.943055556&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=33.4294444444,-111.943055556 (Tempe%2C%20Arizona)&amp;t=h" rel="geolocation">Tempe</a> this weekend with my family and a friend.  I can&#8217;t wait!  It just looks so fun and exciting for us all and such a great cause!</p>
<p>I also signed my Husband and I up for the Skirt Chaser 5k. Looks like a blast as well. I joined with a few friends and also found out at the birthday dinner I was at the other night that a bunch of those girls will be there too. Woo hoo!  Something fun and healthy to look forward too.  :)</p>

<p>I have done this in the past as well with another challenge and also on my own.  When I first started it was very, very enlightening.  I was counting calories.  The next journal was making sure I was adding and getting rid of a lot of foods.  Now with Weight Watchers and counting points it is even more different.  I really like it though and find that it is imperative for me.  :)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My new assignment/challenge this week is to <a href="http://thehood.shrinkingjeans.net/group/52-small-changes-one-year-to-a-happier-healthier-y/forum/topics/week-3-keep-off-the-couch">Keep Off the Couch</a>.  Funny, because I have been trying to get my butt to get ON the couch more lately.  I haven&#8217;t watched very much TV, or new in the past couple of years.  I guess if I get up and walk on the treadmill in the morning before the babies get here for me to watch, then get my Boys off to school, I can make this all work.  Actually, I am going to get my Boys off to school, then take Baby Girl on a bike ride, then come home for lunch.  After lunch I usually lay her down. Once I lay her down I am going to get on the treadmill and either read, or watch a show in its TV.  My minimum on the treadmill is 40 minutes, which is at least usually 2 miles.  Yes, that will work great!  Good plan!  Also extra activity points.  Good stuff!</p>
<p>My water intake since I have started except for one day, yesterday, has been great!  I have been drinking a goal of 100 ounces a day.</p>
<p>As for my sleep that has also been going well this past week also except for one day.  Saturday night I went out with friend, then needed to be up early Sunday for my <a class="zem_slink" title="Weight Watchers" href="http://www.weightwatchers.com" rel="homepage">Weight Watchers</a> weigh-in.  Does it count that I came home afterward and slept for several hours?  LOL!</p>
<p>May I tell everyone that I am loving this challenge and incorporating these things in my life and being aware of each of them every day.  Love it!  :)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today is our Wednesday check-in for the Shrink Yo-Self Fitness Challenge.</p>
<p>Today&#8217;s Weight:  175.6.</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t remember what my weight was last week at this time. Somewhere around 177 I believe.  Anyway, the Challenge for this week is staying the same as last week. Workout 3 to 5 times a week. Have I been doing this?  Some days yes.  Some days no.  I have gotten on my bike a few times in the past week, but still no Bikram and still no other exercising. Why? Well, because I am Kathleen and this is what I do.  On a good note though&#8230; I am getting a <a class="zem_slink" title="Treadmill" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treadmill" rel="wikipedia">treadmill</a> tomorrow night!!!  Woo hooo!  So excited!</p>
<p>When I WAS going to the gym the thing that I used the most was the treadmill, so having one in the house is going to be great. Not only will I use it, but my Father and Husband will want to use it as well.  I will have to keep my Boys in check about the rules of safety while using a treadmill, but I will for sure let them use it if they like.</p>

<p>Starting Thursday, or maybe Friday sometime, I will get my ass on that Treadmill and walk, walk, walk.  I also plan to ride my bike over to meet my Boys after school too. My 3 oldest rode bikes today, but my youngest didn&#8217;t. I think I&#8217;ll take the carrier over with baby girl and ride home with them all.  My oldest has his saxophone today anyway, so I can put that in the carrier for him as well.  I&#8217;ll take the exercise any way I can get it! <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong><span style="color:#99ccff;">Oh boy, I am behind this week on my Blogs&#8230; here I go!</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color:#99ccff;">The <a href="http://thehood.shrinkingjeans.net/group/52-small-changes-one-year-to-a-happier-healthier-y/forum/topics/week-2-get-your-zzzzs"><span style="color:#99ccff;">52 Small Changes</span></a> - Weed 2 Challenge is to &#8220;Get Your Zzzzs&#8221;.  What this means is for  <a href="http://shrinkingjeans.net/2012/01/aim-for-eight/">Aiming  for  7 &#8211; 8 hours a night  </a>. So far so good for me this week.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color:#99ccff;">I have been making sure that I try to stay aware of what time it is at night, because I can let it get away from me.  Monday I slept for exactly 7 hours.  uninterrupted.  So nice.  Last night I woke up 5 minutes shy of my 7 hours.  When nature calls it calls.  :)</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color:#99ccff;">My sleep schedule can vary.  I don&#8217;t force staying awake, or going to sleep. I pretty much do what my body tells me.  I also have never really paid attention to the amount of hours I sleep at night.  I always figured it was about 5, or so.  This will be a good challenge for me.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color:#99ccff;">We are also supposed to stick with drinking as much water as possible. This has been going great for me as I have been drinking 100+ ounces a day.  Yeah!  :)</span></strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://katbite.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/thumbnail-aspx.jpeg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1579" title="thumbnail.aspx" src="http://katbite.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/thumbnail-aspx.jpeg?w=658" alt=""   /></a>I don&#8217;t know about the rest of the world, but I just can&#8217;t handle any negativity in my mornings.  As simple as 2 of my children going back and forth at the breakfast table.  Dirty looks, bickering, back and forth banter, one crying, the other with a crappy look on his face.  It takes me out of my element  to keep the house running smoothly.  Yes, it takes my control away.  I guess you can say that is what it is.  I want everyone to be happy, all the time.  Smile of the face, singing, chatting about what ever is the topic a the time.  Not frivolous  comments that just make the energy in the room go completely negative.  I feel like when that happens it is just a domino affect to other crappy things.  It makes me say things that I feel bad about and I feel like it makes me look like the bad guy.  I wasn&#8217;t the one that started it in the first place, but as the Mother I have to make it right.</p>
<p>Just another morning with a couple grumpy Boys this morning.  Time to turn up the music and let it all go.  When ever a situation like this comes up the first thing I think of is a song my Mother used to sing&#8230; <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-diB65scQU">Don&#8217;t Worry Be Happy </a>.  :)</p>
